Joyce Davis

Funeral services for Joyce Davis will be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Rd. in Conroe, Texas on Wednesday, August 15th, at 10 a.m. Mrs. Davis went to heaven on Saturday, August 11th. Interment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery, Conroe, TX. Born Norma Joyce Carr, January 12, 1926, near Carmi, Illinois; she was the eldest daughter of Roy and Lucy Carr. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles Davis, who died in 1990. She is survived by her only sister, Jean Webb of Newburgh, Indiana. A brother, Lawrence Carr and grandson, Tommy Davis preceded her in death. She is also survived by two sons, C. Pat Davis and wife Debbie, and Dr. Mike Davis and wife, Janice, both of Conroe. Three grandchildren; Chris Davis and wife Wendy, Jeff Herrington and wife Lori, and Jill Herrington, as well as great grandchildren, Zachary and Olivia Davis, and Lilly and Eliana Herrington. Joyce was known for her quick wit and sense of humor. She enjoyed many years of playing bridge with friends in Panorama Village. Everywhere she lived and traveled resulted in life-long friends whom she cherished. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Conroe.
