Jack was born in Joplin, Missouri to Floyd and Eleanor Hayden November 21, 1940. He passed away October 10, 2016 in Houston, Texas. Jack grew up in Oklahoma City where he excelled in football and baseball. He received a scholarship to Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a degree in mathematics. At OSU he met the love of his life Maree Ann Sanders. They were married in 1961 and had three children. Jack spent most of his career in Dallas in sales in the computer industry. Although a brilliant mathematician, Jack’s personality and charisma propelled him to excel in sales. Throughout his life, Jack maintained a wonderful sense of humor. From the early years with his bathroom humor at the dinner table, through mid-life in keeping his teens in stitches, and later life where he resumed bathroom humor with his grandchildren, Jack brought smiles and laughter to all those around him. Jack’s door was always open. He welcomed everyone in. His easy going personality set all at ease, and he never met a stranger. His casual persona attracted all types of people. Jack was kind, giving and loving….except when it came to sports. Highly competitive, Jack was known to throw a few golf clubs, bend a few tennis rackets, and unknowingly wrestle anyone who sat next to him during his son’s matches. Jack was a man who loved the Lord. His faith guided and sustained him through life’s journeys. He was often seen crying and laughing at the same time as he was touched and moved by the word of God.
For all of his success and accomplishments, Jack’s greatest joy and priority was always his family. He gave abundantly. He gave his time, he gave his attention and he gave his love without reservation. Jack was a kind, fun-loving, selfless, and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Jack is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Eleanor Hayden and his wife Maree Ann Hayden. He is survived by his children Tracie Forsythe, Missy Chiles and husband Mark, James Hayden, Ashley Tamburin and husband Joey, and Anna Wahlrobe; Grandchildren Nicole Chiles, Haley Chiles, Justin Forsythe, Emily Forsythe, Jace Hayden, Grace Tamburin, Rachel Tamburin, Tate Tamburin, Savannah Wilcott, and Rhett Wilcott.
