Johnny O’Neal Myrick, 57, peacefully passed away in his sleep, at his home in Henderson, NV, on November 15, 2013. He was born on March 22, 1956 in Midland, Texas and grew up in Conroe, TX. He graduated from Conroe High School in 1974. Neal served 6 years in the US Air Force, 4 years in the US Navy, and 22 years in the FAA; all as an Air Traffic Controller. He worked at Salt Lake, Aspen, Reno, and Las Vegas McCarran Towers until his retirement in 2006. He is survived by his parents, Johnny and Frances Myrick of Conroe, TX; a sister, Nancy E Myrick and brother-in-law, Bryan S. Baker of Henderson, NV; 2 nieces, Christi Ficek and Amy Gann and their families; his uncle and aunt, Jim and Olivia Padgett of Midland, TX and by his aunt, Janie Myrick of Conroe, TX, as well as numerous cousins and loving friends. Neal will be greatly missed. The family will receive guests at the viewing on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. Neal will be laid to rest following the graveside service on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 10:00am at Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery, 1600 Porter Rd, Conroe, Texas 77301. Pallbearers will be Marty Myrick, Scott Kurtz, Ken Ariola, Randy Myrick, Billy Myrick and Terry Padgett.
