Funeral services for John M. Nixon will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Pastor Stan Sullinger officiating and burial following in Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home. John was born August 14, 1946 in Goose Creek, Texas to Cage Nixon and Nancy Nixon and passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 4, 2013 in The Woodlands, Texas. John is preceded in death by his father, Cage Polk Nixon Jr; mother, Nancy Buck; step-father, Clyde Buck; son, John M. Nixon Jr and by his granddaughter, Tiffany Poland. Left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Devin Nixon, Teresa Poland, Natalie Nixon and their mother, Sally Ann; brothers; Terry Nixon and wife Darlene and Allen Buck; sister, Ann Crump and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Ashley Abbott-Height and husband Jason, Nicole, Laura and Abigail Poland and Quade Nixon; and great-grandchild, Bentley Height. Pallbearers will be Terry Nixon, Jimmy Crump, All Denbey, Jason Height, Jason Jordan and Lance Wright. Honorary pallbearer will be Allen Buck.
