John Archie Heiman

John Archie Heiman, 85, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2014, with his beloved wife by his bedside. He is survived by his wife, Yenny, three children, and two grandchildren. John was born on February 25, 1929 in Beaumont, Texas, where he was raised, graduating from South Park High School and Lamar University. He joined the Army in 1950, and is a veteran of the Korean War. John had a successful 35-year career in the oil and gas industry, working for Pure Oil Company and Mobil Oil International, traveling and working in the U.S., Nigeria, Indonesia, and Scotland before returning to Texas for retirement. John valued his friendships greatly, and many of his friends were able to join him in the hospital prior to his passing. John will be remembered dearly, and those of us who knew him best shall never forget his love for life, for friends, and for family.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM Friday September 26, 2014, at Metcalf Funeral Directors, Conroe, Texas. A private family committal will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.metcalffuneraldirectors.com
