Jason Eric Dodson

Jason Eric Dodson, 43, was born February 24, 1974 to Billy and Sheryl Dodson and passed away on April 4, 2017. Jason Dodson was a devoted son, brother, father and grandfather. Jason graduated from LaGrange High School, He had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. Jason’s legacy will live on in his children and grandchildren with a love of family and God. Jason was a Master Mechanic by trade. He worked for various Lexus dealerships over the past 10 years. He had a passion for motorcycles, fishing, and hunting – anything that would be outdoors and especially loved being with his children. To all that knew and loved Jason, his smile, his sense of humor and devotion to his family and friends will leave a footprint that will live in our hearts forever. Jason is preceded in death by his grandparents, J.B Strickland and Robert Jack Dodson. He is survived by his mother, Sheryl Strickland Dodson; father, Billy Joe Dodson and wife Vicky Dodson; daughters, Jessyka Dodson and fiancé Ryan Read and Alyssa Dodson; son, Justin Dodson; like a son, Cameron Archie; granddaughter, Rogyn Haze Read aka Maria McNugget (his nickname for her); sister, Beverly Dodson Merriman and husband Scott; stepbrothers, James (Jimmy) Nichols, Bruce Nichols and Matthew Karcher; grandparents, Margaret Ann Strickland and Dorothy Sue Dodson; uncles, Jerry Hodges, Bucky Dodson and wife Melanie, Bobby Dodson and wife Len; aunts, Belinda Verbeke and husband David, Becky Pashcal and husband Paul, and Rhonda Hancock; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and his beloved pet dog, Camo aka “Dumb Dumb”. Visitation will be Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Cashner Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be Monday, April 10, 2017 beginning at 10:00am with interment to follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
