Helen E. Pawlowski was born on November 6, 1931, in Bellville, Texas, the daughter of Bruno and Stella Faterkowski. On July 21, 2022, at the age of 90, Helen was called home to be with the Lord. She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, John B. Pawlowski, and her son, Julian Pawlowski. She is survived by her three daughters, Lillian Simmons and husband, Buddy; Renee Reed and husband, Carl; Connie Holub and husband, Louis; and her son, Donald Pawlowski, and wife, Karen. She was known as "Bosha" to 4 generations, including 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and many others.
Helen lived a very full life centered around family and friends. Through the years, as the family continued to grow, she helped keep everyone united. It was important to her to be surrounded by those she loved on birthdays, holidays, or whenever possible. She cherished every minute of it. Now, thanks to her, we all shall lean on those precious memories for many years. Other hobbies she enjoyed included fishing, listening to Polish music, road trips to the casinos, and watching game shows and sports on TV. She was a loyal fan of the Houston Astros and Texans.
Helen was a strong-willed woman who overcame many hardships throughout her years. Serving as an example for those around her, she demonstrated perseverance. Stubbornly determined, she remained cheerful and optimistic. She left a lasting impression on those that met her by telling them exactly what was on her mind, which sure could be entertaining. Her laughter and sassiness were contagious. Helen will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and everyone who knew her.
