Mom,
It's been a year now since you left.  I would think by now it would be so much easier but it's not.  I work so hard everyday not to let myself get worked up and get sick because of how much I miss you.  I see new things being built in Conroe, new roads being opened just a few miles from our home and things we knew we would see but never thought it would be this soon.  I would love to be able to show you and hear the "oh my goodness" in your voice and the excitement.  I would love to hug you one more time.  You were the best "Mother" I could of ever asked for.  Steve, Robb and myself miss you so much......Steve even has a picture of you and him on Facebook as his main picture!  I can hear you now "oh that picture of me isn't good, he needs to take it down".  You look beautiful in the picture he has.  I had to see your picture today so I pulled this site up, I do this from time to time.  I pull Dad's site up too.  Rest In Peace Mom...You deserve it.  Until we meet again.

I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!"

"Gone where?"

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear her load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me, not her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says: "There, she is gone!" there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout: "Here she comes!"

And that is dying.

To Lisa, Steve and Robb (last in the list but certainly first in my heart) - my most sincere condolences on the loss of your mother.  She was a wonderful, sweet, feisty woman who I adored and her memories will be cherished always.  With love.

Gwen is my angel and a light in my life. I will miss her wit, her smile, and her beautiful big heart. I am praying for peace in the hearts of all who loved and adored her, as I have. Many blessings to Gwen and the beautifully amazing family she leaves behind.

Well ma it's was so much fun being able to be with you the last few weeks we had a blast playing on snap chat and you acting silly as always .. You brought happiness back to all of us and always will,, having the family all back in the home again was wonderful and exciting love each and every one of y'all thanks for letting me be there for all of y'all again it was a honor

I will miss you momma. I don't know who will I talk to every night before I go to bed though. I wish I could have those times back again. Remember when I would fall asleep on the phone while you were talking to me and tried to play it off like I hadn't. You would tell me I needed to go to sleep because I had to get up early in the morning for work and I would agree but, in your next breath you would begin another long winded conversation and I would listen patiently until you told me I should go to bed a second, then third, and fourth, and who knows how many more times you said this and I agreed and we started another conversation.Looking back I'm so glad I had those long conversations with you.It was worth every minute. 
Momma, I will see you in God's Kingdom one day and we can rejoice together and praise our Heavenly Father like we did so many times when we talked about Jesus in the living room. These memories are locked in my heart forever and I will talk to you in my prayers.

I'm just so honored that you were my mother in law and my friend. I'm happy that you shared so many stories and your thoughts beliefs and prayers with me. Thank you for always reminding me to pray before our many lunches together. I am just imagining you singing and dancing and walking in a beautiful garden walking hand in hand with your one true love.

Momma Swearingen was the sweetest, a little dingy, and always had us laughing or smiling.  You will be greatly missed by all of those who knew you. Look down on us from time to time from Heaven above. Rest well sweet momma. Until we see you again, know that we love you.

I was close to her for about a year and it was back in 1977-78 but she was always so gracious and nice to me.  I am glad she is now in Heaven.

It's only been a day since you left, I feel like part of me is missing.  How do I drop the life I knew with you in it and start a new one?  God blessed me by giving me the "Best Mom" in the whole world, you were always by my side waiting to listen to me, or fix a problem and be the "Best Friend" a child could want. You taught me how to be the wife and mother I am, I tried to mimic you, then I knew I was doing it right and being the best I can.  I am numb as I write this, I am not sure what to do next.
