Gwen Mann Farley

Gwen was born on July 23, 1932, daughter of the late John Evee Mann and Jane Alsup Mann. She graduated from Milby High School, Houston, Texas in 1949 and worked as an escrow officer and Vice President of Universal Land Title in Conroe, Texas. She married James F. “Jim” Farley on October 23, 1953, in Houston, Texas. Together they raised four children, traveled the world, and enjoyed collecting antiques, gardening, reading, and gourmet cooking. She was strong minded, had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others.

She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Kathryn Jane Farley-Chevis; son-in-law, Peter Chevis and sister, Mary Ruth Sartin.

She leaves her memory to be cherished by her loving husband of 61 years, Jim Farley; daughter, Sarah Ellen Little and husband, Dawson Little; son, William Hunt Farley; daughter, Carol Ann Kincannon and husband, Charles V. Kincannon; grandchildren, Kathryn Christine Chevis, Sarah Taylor Little, James Wesley Little; four siblings; and numerous relatives and friends.

Friends and relatives are invited to join her family in a Celebration of Gwen’s Life to be held at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, Texas from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday, September 17, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gwen’s memory to the charity of your choice.
