Mr. Branch will always be remembered as a great Principal at Oak Ridge Elementary and Houser Intermediate. R.I.P. Sir.

George and his family were lifelong friends from  Clauene community near Levelland.  I knew George from the day he was born and  taught him in high school in the infamous 5th period English class in  l952-53 which was made up of mostly football players.  He was a dear friend..well loved by his classmates and a highlight of the class reunions which I attended.  His accomplishments athletically and educationally were exceptional.His many friends are saddened . Please express my sympathy to his famuly.

Prayers to Mr. Branch's family.  He was my principal the year Lamar opened through my 4th grade year at Oak Ridge (the year it opened!).  I remember him as a gentle giant who always had a smile on his face.  He touched the lives of many children in CISD and will not be forgotten. Rest in peace, Mr. Branch.

I owe my career in education to Mr. Branch. He believed in me, promoted me, and mentored me. His vision and leadership were amazing, and this impacted thousands of children and adults. I will always be grateful for my opportunity to work for him and know him.

I remember Mr. Branch when I attended Sam Houston in 1964. He was such a nice man. Rest in peace.

We will miss our good friend & classmate. George was always "a gentle giant & gentleman". He truly loved everyone who was fortunate to be in his presence. Mr. Branch was my principle at Sam Houston in the late 60's. I loved him. He was a great man. He will be missed.

Mr. Branch:  Thank you for being a mentor in my life.  You were an angel amongst us and now, an angel above.  I have fond memories of Mechelle and me, always sneaking, especially at Oak Ridge El.  And always getting caught.  We weren't great sneakers.  Prayers for the family.  Such a great loss.  RIP, shuug.

Mr. Branch was my oldest son's principal at Houser and was a great help to me in helping him adjust to Intermediate school. I did not have the pleasure of working with him, but later worked at Houser and heard from all the teachers and the front office staff what a wonderful principal and man he was.  Please accept our sympathy and prayers

Mr. Branch was a true educator.  He was a respected principal and dedicated to the children.  He will be remembered with fond memories.

I was blessed, I am one of Uncle George's niece.  I morn the loss of a great man.  I cherish the memories I have. I look forward to a heavenly reunion! Is a bittersweet, for i know he suffers no more and he stands at the feet of the King of Kings along side his brothers and parents! Uncle George, I love you!

There will always be special memories of George for many of his Levelland friends.  I was one of those and when we reconnected at 1954 class reunions, I was so happy to hear him share with me and my husband so much of the story of his journey and his success as an educator.  His conquering the challenges as a very, very bright person with a learning difference no doubt helped him develop to be such an excellent educator and leader.  He deserves a special place of recognition in the history of Conroe ISD for his leadership in developing and leading innovative elementary schools.
 
Our thoughts, prayers, and sympathy are with all his family.  We, like you, will miss him.
