Frank Ray Willis was born November 2, 1933 and passed away on December 8, 2010. His parents, James and Jessie Willis, both preceded him in death along with his siblings, Mavis Willis, James Willis and Kenneth Willis.
Frank worked in his younger days as a roughneck. His ethic was once summed up by a great man, “Both tears and sweat are salty, but they render a different result, tears will get you sympathy, sweat will get you change.” He lived by this creed. Frank served in the Armed Forces (Army), worked for Borden’s and eventually retired from TDC in Huntsville, Texas. Frank had a lifelong love of the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He shared with his sons his belief that life loves to be taken by the lapel and told, “I’m with you kid, let’s go.”
Frank leaves his memories with his loving and devoted wife, Bennie Jean Willis, and his three sons, Mike Willis and wife Gayle, Ben Willis and wife Shelly and Terry Willis. He is also survived by his siblings, Charles Willis, Joe Willis and wife Betty, Billie Jean and husband John Hughes, Archie Willis and wife Carlene. Nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren as well as a host of friends and relatives mourn his passing as well.
Services will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2010. You are invited to leave condolences for the family on our website at www.cashnerconroe.com.
