Funeral services for Frank Floyd Moore, age 87, of Conroe will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10 a.m. in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Paul Leonard Sr. and Pastor Alan Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Copeland Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 19, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.
Frank was born June 8, 1924 to Charles and Laura Moore in Paris, Texas and passed over to Heaven on August 17, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Wanda Moore; daughters and their husbands, Karen (Kitty) and Dennis Cibart of Middletown, CA, Sharon and Paul Leonard of Austin, TX and daughter, Betty Gresak of Montgomery, TX; son, Jack Moore of Conroe, TX; honorary daughters, Susie, Peggy and Sabrina. He was known to his grandkids, great grandkids and great, great grandkids as Papa and Great Papa. Pallbearers will be Jack Moore, Paul Leonard Jr., Jonathan Moore, Austin Leonard, Jason Moore and Paul Leonard Sr.
Frank was a painting contractor in Conroe for years. He served his country in the U. S. Army and Air Force during WWII and was very proud to be an American. He often talked about his time in the service and how proud he was to be a Texan. Frank was a member of the Ark Family Church.
A special thank you to Lighthouse Hospice for such compassionate care and to the many people for their love, prayers and support. Our Dad and Papa will be missed more than words can say, but we know he is now resting in the arms of the Lord.
