Francis Alfred McDonnel

Francis A. McDonnel of Conroe Texas passed away Thursday, April 2nd at the age of 81 after a short illness. He was born April 6, 1933 in Woodsboro Texas. He is survived by his son Robert F. McDonnel of Conroe; daughter Anna Hanson, son-in-law Lee Hanson, grandsons, Donald L. Hanson, Eric-Steven P. Hanson, and Matthew T. Hanson of Spring; brother Jack McDonnel and sister-in-law Phylisia McDonnel of Victoria; along with numerous nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and great-nieces. He is preceded in death by his wife, Violet McDonnel, infant sons Francis A. McDonnel, Jr. and Cyril T. McDonnel, and daughter Violet (Lil’ Bit) McDonnel. Parents, Thomas E. and Annabelle McDonnel, brothers, Martin McDonnel, Thomas Elton McDonnel, Jr., William McDonnel, and sisters Norma McDonnel and Annette Woods. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 8th from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Metcalf Funeral Directors, 1801 E. White Oak Terrace, Conroe, TX 77304. Services will be held Thursday, April 9th at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 109 N. Frazier St. Conroe, TX . The Rite of Committal will follow in Garden Park Cemetery.
