We honor the passing of “Sunny” Frances Annette Lynch Willis at age 79 on the 10th of April 2022 in Conroe, Texas. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Born in Conroe on the 22nd of October 1942, she was the eldest daughter of M.L. Lynch, Sr. and Floretta Jane Summa Lynch.
Sunny spent the first few years in Conroe after which she moved with her family as a military dependent living in varying locales including Washington state, Wyoming, Alabama, Alaska, and Morocco eventually graduating from high school in Bossier City, Louisiana. She began her university studies at Louisiana Tech University. It was there that she met and fell in love with her husband of 52 years, Bill Willis. Sunny later completed her studies at Mississippi College where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in French.
Finding adventure traveling the world with her husband and daughters, Sunny loved learning and sharing her knowledge and experiences with others which she accomplished with a career in education. Sunny enjoyed teaching French, German, Spanish, English, history, and talented and gifted students in places such as Dodge City, Kansas; El Paso, Texas; Alamogordo, New Mexico; Kauai, Okinawa; and Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Sunny was preceded in death by her beloved husband William Willis and her eldest daughter Wendy Willis. She is survived by her daughter Rachael Rosillo, son-in-law Fernando Rosillo, and grandson Alex Rosillo of New Mexico; her daughter Kari Willis and grandson Matthew Willis of Conroe; her granddaughter Rhiannon Jaskolowski of New Mexico and grandson Nick Owens of Massachusettes, her sister Janet Fields and brother-in-law David Fields of Conroe and their family; her brother Louis Lynch Jr. and sister-in-law Becky Lynch of Merkle, TX and their family; and her four great-granchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe on Friday, the 15th April, 2022 at 2pm with a reception to follow.
