Donna Belle Teeter Coulter went to rest in Christ Jesus in the early morning hours on 16 September 2017, at Conroe Regional Medical Center, Conroe, TX. She was 86 years, 3 weeks and 2 days old at the time of her death. Donna was born on 8 October1930 and raised in the Richmond, Indiana area. On 21 December 1948, after graduating from Richmond High School, Donna married her sweetheart of 4 years, Charles Emrick Coulter, while he was home on leave from the United States Navy. She shared 47 years of marriage and many miles of travel with her “Chuck” before he went to rest in Christ Jesus in 1995, 26 years after arriving in Texas. Donna was the youngest of six children born to Charles Erwin and Pauline Stump Teeter. She was preceded in death by: her husband, father and mother, sister Mary Alice Teeter Hannah, brothers-in-law Harry J. “Jake” Hannah, Jr., Ray W. Muegge, William Craycraft, James Riley Coulter, Edward Leon Coulter, brother Charles Paul “Bud” Teeter, sisters-in-law Caroline Sue Coulter, Dorothy JoAnne Coulter, Virginia Ann Coulter Armstrong, Nancy Louise Coulter, and a son, Scott Emrick Coulter. She is survived by: her sisters Bessie Mildred Teeter Craycraft, Harriette Lucille Teeter Christmann and Rev. Arthur William Christmann, and Barbara Lou Teeter Muegge; brothers-in-law Chester Robert Coulter, Don Arlen Coulter and Rodney Hart Armstrong; her children, daughter Donna Cathleen Coulter Ray, son and daughter-in-law Jon Charles and Melissa Marie Coulter, and son and daughter-in-law Randall Craig and Deborah Ann Coulter; her grandchildren Regina HyeYoung Kim and J. Arjan Bezemer, Cristin Michelle and Gerardo Antonio Salgado, William Edward Coulter, Melissa Ann Courtney Coulter, Bronson Wayne Gentry, Branden Charles Coulter, Tiffany Danielle and Patrick Wayne Clemons, Jr., Alesha Marie Coulter Russell and Søren Greve, and Justin Craig Coulter and Alyssa Heacox. “Granny Tutu” as her grand and great grandchildren called her, had 15 great grandchildren: Maria José Salgado, Dylan Charles Coulter, Mica LeighAnn Coulter, Mhia Clemons, Zoe Alexis Coulter, Kyra Hyunna Bezemer, Ann Marie Clemons, River Marie Russell, Kaelei Annise Coulter, Emma Marie Coulter, Eliana Nayomie Salgado, Jon Charles Russell, Liam Charles Coulter, Jaxson Alexander Davis, and Justin Logan Coulter. Also, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Donna was happy to be a wife and mother and took pride in her home and children. She was an exceptional planner, packer, and organizer; skills learned after moving 12 plus times during her marriage. She was an excellent seamstress and cook with her raisin cookies and potato salad being two of the family’s favorite treasured recipes. Donna was also active in her church in her younger years, serving as treasurer, deaconess, and chief cook for many Pathfinder camp outs for the Conroe Seventh Day Adventist Church. When she was no longer able to attend Sabbath services, she went “to Church” via a satellite system at home. She and her husband raised long-haired miniature dachshunds to improve the breed and as show animals for over 45 years. They were Chuck’s hobby and Donna’s fulltime job! Kokodachs dogs are all over the world today. A graveside service will be held by Pastor Dwight Seek on Friday, 22 September 2017 at 2PM in Garden Park Cemetery next to Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, TX. She will be buried next to her beloved “Chuck” to await Christ’s return. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Conroe SDA church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Conroe Adventist Academy of Texas’ Worthy Student Fund. Donna strongly believed in the importance of Christian education and helping our children know about Christ Jesus. The family would like to express gratitude to Keith, Brenda, and Criss from Prevail Home Health Agency and to all the staff on 1 North and CCU at CRMC and Oasis Hospice for the excellent care given by you to our “Granny Tutu” during her final days.
