Donna M. Coleman

Donna M. Coleman was born on April 11, 1960 in Conroe, TX to Donald and Judy Roan and passed away on Friday September 14, 2012 in Willis, TX at the age of 52. She was one of four siblings. She was a magnificent wife, mother, grandmother (Nonnie), Aunt, sister and friend to everyone she came in contact with. Her most precious and memorable moments were spent with her husband of almost 35 years, sitting out on the back porch swing while discussing the little details of their day….walking together through their garden and seeing what new “present” had arrived that day. She looked forward to getting home everyday so that she and Bill could love on “Bee-Bee” and Skeeter. Naturally, the kids and grandkids would pop up in conversation and before long she would be on the phone calling to check-in with each one of them. “July in Christmas” was the start of her preparation for the upcoming Christmas season which was her most treasured time of the year. This is when she knew the entire family would be gathering together for several occasions and therefore, she would make sure that every last person had a gift to open…. Even if it was a complete stranger, she “was not gonna have a sad face on Christmas”. Serving others was her natural God-given gift and she utilized that gift by always being there for each and every person in the family. From being a member of the praise and worship team at Trinity Life Church to holding several positions such as President of each booster club available as well as serving hot dogs at Uncle Randy’s ropings, she was always the first to volunteer to. She was ALWAYS the life of every party, with her signature laugh and contagious smile. She brought so much joy to everyone she came in contact with. Fortunately, her youngest daughter is an amazing hair dresser who always knew how to make her feel and look like a million bucks. However, you would never see her without her nails perfectly manicured, earrings in and lipstick in place. If you were to ask any grandchild what is one thing that makes Nonnie’s house so special, you would get an unanimous answer…THE CANDY DRAWER! She was always notorious for her spontaneity of loading up and taking memorable road trips. From Galveston to SeaWorld, or Waxahachie to San Marcos Cheerleading camps, no luggage or bags ever needed because the local Wal-Mart was always around the corner. “Bunkie” was a name she would always answer to. Her definition of relaxation would be lying on her hammock while reading a good book, followed with a long dip in the pool, of course, accompanied by her husband that she called“daddy”. You could always rest assured knowing that she had a traveling stash of kit-kats, whoppers, lemon heads, red hots as well as having her chips and salsa prepared and ready to go. A home remedy of hers that she always used was there was absolutely no problem that a good ole’ fashioned Coke couldn’t fix. There was never a problem or issue that she didn’t have a solution to….her “open-door” policy is something she made sure that was an understood fact to everyone. The memories we all made together will always be cherished and treasured and never forgotten. She was and always will be the glue that holds our family together. She will be greatly missed by everyone, but as we all know she’s our angel looking down from Heaven, eagerly waiting for our next “family reunion”.She is survived by her husband, W.M. Coleman, her children Stephanie M. Swann and Jason T. of Montgomery, Justin Monroe Coleman of Willis, and Amanda Kay Coleman of Willis. Her grandchildren include; Reid Milton Swann, Tate Monroe Swann, Kali Bree Davis, and Addy Michelle Swann. She is survived by her sister, Jerri Lynn Koss and Les, and two brothers Randy Roan and Lisa, and Russell Roan and Lisa. Her sister in laws include; Kay Hobbs and Jimmy, Donna Price and Jimmy, and Francis Kay Bates and Troy. She had many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Visitation will be Monday September 17, 2012 at Cashner Funeral Home from 5-8 pm. Funeral service will be Tuesday September 18, 2012 at 10:00 am at The Cowboy Church in Montgomery with Pastor Randy Weaver as officiant. Pallbearers will be Paul Dyess, Craig Weighat, Jason Weighat, Wayne Bingham, Roy Wilkins, and Pecos Vaught. Kenneth Truelove, Bill Alexander, and Billy Howell will serve as honorary pallbearers.
