Dom, as he was fondly called by friends and family, was born on January 16th, 1948 to Eva and Gerard Nardo, Sr. in Manhattan’s West Side. Outgoing in nature, he gained the friendships of many. He will be greatly missed by all his loved ones and friends.
He attended Long Island University earning a Master’s in Finance. After graduating, he secured a position with a major airline and traveled the world. This opportunity kick started his career as a financial advisor. Dom was a sports enthusiast – especially the Yankees and Giants.
After retiring, he worked as an ad-hoc professor at the local community college. He also served as an Usher at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church and was a member of their fellowship group as well.
Dom is survived by his younger brother, Gerard Jr. (Carol) Nardo, his twin sisters, Theresa Entler and Elvira Weiser. He took great pride in his four nieces, Vera Lynn (Daniel) Arredondo, Elaine and Crystal Entler, and Michelle Nardo. He adored his five great nieces and nephews. They will miss their “Uncle Dom”.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and caregivers of Emerald Hospice Care and Dignity Personal Care Home for their compassion and dedication.
Dom’s family will hold private services under the direction of Cashner Funeral Home in Conroe, Texas.
