Deborah was a shining light to her children. Her entire world revolved around each one of them. She loved them for who they were and taught them to love people for who they were. She was her happiest when she was cutting up with them and sharing laughs. She taught them to stay together and to find strength in each other. What a beautiful legacy to leave behind. They were the absolute loves of her life.
She enjoyed playing Rummy with her brother Eddie and making him throw down his cards, and playing Phase 10 with her mother and kids who always got a laugh out of her witty teasing and comebacks. She was always smiling even when she was sick. She loved teasing her nurses. Her favorite color was yellow and of course she adored yellow roses. She loved sitting by the pool and watching her grandchildren play while her sons barbequed. Deborah did not need the riches of the world to be happy, just the people she was blessed with. She had a fondness for jewelry and anything that sparkled or shined. She loved her country music and Alan Jackson was her all-time favorite. She found treasures in the simpler things in life.
Our world is sad and lonely and we are heartbroken without her. She was truly missed the second Jesus called her home. In time we hope to find some comfort that she is whole, young, and never has to sleep in a hospital bed again.
