Dalpha Elaine Kelley passed away on May 14, 2016 in Conroe, TX. She was born on March 30, 1929 in De Leon, TX to Richard Randolph Smith and Effie Polk. Dalpha was a life-long member of FBC Groceville. She was the church organist and served in many leadership capacities over the years. She is retired from Conroe ISD where she worked as a speech therapist. A special thanks to Rosalind (Rosy) from 1st Choice Hospice for her loving and compassionate care. Dalpha was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Randolph Smith & Effie Polk Smith, brothers, Richard Revis Smith & William Wayne Smith, sisters, Virginia Shahan, Vernelle Donoho & Nannette McFarland, husband, Martin Alexander Kelley, son, Herman Glenn Kelley and great-granddaughter, Ainsley Elizabeth LaCarter. She is survived by daughter-In-Law, Theresa Kelley of Conroe, grandson, John Bryan Kelley of Conroe, granddaughter, Melissa LaCarter and husband Roger LaCarter of The Woodlands, Great-Grandchildren, Ashlyn LaCarter, John Edward Kelley and Jillian LaCarter. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 10:00am in Cashner Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in New Bethlehem Cemetery, Cut and Shoot, TX. Pallbearers will be Roger LaCarter, John Edward Kelley, Charles Gaskin, John Bailey, Stephen Tinney and John Bryan Kelley.
