After moving to the Heights area, they opened one of the first Italian restaurants in the area, DePaul’s Pizza House. After the passing of her husband in 1995, Connie began working at the Conroe Walmart and worked there for 25 years. Even though she was small in stature, she was strong in character and received many awards for her diligent effort in apprehending shoplifters. She was nicknamed “the Sheriff” and received a “badge” which she proudly wore.
