Clifford Eugene Jones

Clifford Eugene Jones (known as "Pops" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren) passed away suddenly at home at the age of 75 on Saturday, May 11, 2024. He was born March 27, 1949, in Hartford City, Indiana. He graduated from Hartford City High School in 1968 and then from broadcasting school in Chicago, IL, in 1969. He then married Juanita Spaulding of Montpelier, Indiana, on October 5, 1969. He and his family moved to Texas in May of 1975, and he went to work for Gulf States Utilities (now known as Entergy) as an electrical maintenance technician at the power plant. He went to work for Capro in 1998 and retired from there in 2014.

In high school, he began collecting stereo equipment and created many recordings from his two brothers' bands. He then continued making recordings of many types of music for personal enjoyment. He also was skilled in woodworking and created several cherished items for family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorothy Jones, and his brother, James B. Jones.

He is survived by his long-term partner, Reba Fay; his three children, Angela Shadoin (George), Aaron Jones (Kristy), and Andrea Scott (Brian); his grandchildren, Rebekah Hargraves (Owen), Sean Sears, Andrew Shadoin, Camryn Jones, Pierce Jones, Chloe Scott, Dawson Jones, and Elliot Jones, and his great-grandchildren Anna Hargraves and James Hargraves. He is also survived by his ex-wife, Juanita Spaulding Jones, and his brother, Jerry Jones.

A graveside service for Clifford will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM in Cashner Funeral Home and Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Rd, Conroe, TX 77303.
