Clayton served in the Marine Corps from 1961 until 1964 during the Vietnam war, after finishing high school in Odessa TX, with an Honorable Discharge. He married the love of his life, Jeannette, from Odessa TX. After separating from the Marine Corps, Clayton and Jeannette packed their bags and headed to Houston where he graduated in 1972 from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy.
Clayton and Jeannette opened Clayton’s Village Drug in Ozona TX where he proudly provided pharmaceutical and medical care to the community. Their pharmacy had a soda counter and the best chicken salad sandwiches in West TX! Clayton and Jeannette had a strong relationship with God and were incredibly involved in the Church and Community, always serving God, surrounded by friends, no matter where their next adventure was.
Clayton ‘carried’ medicine and clothes into Mexico and participated in Mission trips. His niece Nancy said it best: Uncle Butch was the best example of how to treat people.
Clayton and Jeannette chose two children to raise and loved them dearly. Clayton devoted his life to his two children, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
In the early 2000s Clayton served as a Pharmacist at the VA hospital in Marlin TX, where he educated Veterans about Diabetes, Depression, PTSD, and other brain illnesses while ensuring the Veterans got the care they earned from their VA. He continued to be a pharmacist in different communities and stores. He owned an RV park in the Waco area and then moved to Willis TX where he and Jeannette were members of the Thousand Trail resorts on Lake Conroe and had years of fun with the different people they met.
Clayton and Jeannette settled down in Conroe TX where they love their Church family and Clayton substituted at the local schools. He was a Christian, loving family person, pharmacist, private investigator, pilot, artist, carpenter, comedian, caretaker, prepper, substitute teacher and a fun time!
Preceded in death by his daughter Dannette, whom he loved with all of his heart, his Father and Mother, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and other loved ones in his big family, Clayton Robinson is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Jeannette, his daughter Kellye, his Grandchildren Katy, Alexis, and Chase (sp.
