Christine Chambers passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 05, 2023 at the age of 74 at Memorial Hermann Hospital, The Woodlands, Texas from complications during surgery. Christine was a loving spouse, mother, and grandmother with a heart of gold. We were all gifted with her love, compassion, and support.
Christine Chambers was born on December 28, 1948 in Collingswood, New Jersey to Ernest and Catherine Thanner. She was the youngest of two children. Christine was married to Alan Chambers for 39 years. Christine and Alan met in Dallas, Texas where they lived for a short period of time before moving to Houston, Texas and then settling down on Lake Conroe in Willis, Texas. In 2021, they purchased an RV to travel the states. Christine was previously married to Daniel McFall with whom she had three children, Daniel is currently married to Anne McFall and they live in Livingston, Texas. The two surviving children are Colleen Meyers, son-in-law Jeffery Meyers, grandchildren Jacob and Kayden from Tomball, Texas. Jason McFall, daughter-in-law Linda McFall, grandchildren Kierstyn and Landon live in Spring, Texas. Granddaughter Christine from Knoxville, Tennessee. Nephew Ernie, cousins Foster and Colin. Deceased son Patrick McFall from Willis, Texas. Christine had an older sister Carol McNab who is also deceased.
Christine graduated from Collingswood High School, Collingswood, New Jersey in 1967. Christine raised her three children in Champaign, Illinois until moving to Texas. In Texas she had various jobs before working for Alief ISD and then Conroe ISD in the purchasing department as senior purchaser until retirement.
Christine had a lot of hobbies including gardening, cooking, traveling, playing games, watching sports, hunting, and boating on the lake. She was a great mentor to her grandchildren and a compassionate, loving, selfless mother, wife, and grandmother that will be greatly missed. Her last words to her family were “Don’t be sad, have joy”.
