Charlsie M. Bell, 85, died peacefully in Conroe, Texas on June 10, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Curtis R. Bell, sons Dennis G. Bell (daughter-in-law, Susan-Rae Bell) and Keith R. Bell, grandchildren Elizabeth Suzanne Bell-Martin, Rebecca Anne-Marie Brunelle, Sabrina-Marie Theresa McReynolds, great-grandchildren, Alexa Amalia Marie Martin, Isabella Marie Brunelle, and James Alan Martin. Numerous nieces and nephews also are surviving. She was preceded in death by her parents, George C. and Pauline Borchelt. Charlsie was a homemaker who was very proud of her family. She was one of the original members of the first American Red Cross volunteers at the Montgomery County Hospital (now known as Conroe Regional Medical Center) and continues to be a volunteer of the present Auxiliary to this day. She also has volunteered with Odyssey Hospice and many other volunteer groups. She had a love of creativity and other activities, one of which was sewing. She was a member of the “Dolly Mamas” that made clothes for dolls for children. She was a member of Tree of Life Lutheran Church of Conroe, Texas.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at Tree of Life Lutheran Church, 3201 N. Loop 336 West, Conroe, Texas 77304. Graveside services will follow at Forest Park, The Woodlands Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Metcalf Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tree of Life Lutheran Church General Fund.
