Charles Ernest “Chuck” Bowman, a.k.a. “Charlie”, born in Golden Gate, IL on January 9, 1939 passed away on July 30, 2024 at the age of 85, resident of Texas.

Chuck retired as a Senior Master Trooper from Illinois State Police District 15 in 1991, and served in the USAF prior to that. Chuck loved to be in the woods bow hunting and was a skilled walleye fisherman.

Preceding Chuck in death are his parents: John (Mildred Gaddis) Bowman; Wife: Donna (Keeling) Bowman; Brother-in-law Michael Keeling and sister-in-law Sally Keeling of Rock Falls, IL; Siblings Donald, John Henry “Jack”, Robert “Bobby” Bowman, Leroy “Lee” Bowman, Patricia “Pat” (Bowman) Hay, Mary Lou (Bowman) Wall, Ruthee (Bowman) Myers.

Chuck is survived by his sister: Donna Sue (Bowman) Witter of Evansville, IN; Daughter: Kimberly Jill Bowman of Rockford, IL; Son: Charles Douglas Bowman; Daughter-in-law: Sarah (Browning) Bowman; Grandchildren: Tzipporah Madison Leigh Bowman and Aaron Douglas Bowman of Livingston, TX; Numerous nieces and nephews, including John Bowman of Sterling, IL, who spent countless hours making bows, hunting and fishing with his Uncle Chuck.

Family to hold private services.
