Charles Edson Adams II was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 19th, 1946, to Donald Evans Adams and Olive Patchin Weaver. He received his Bachelor of Science in Communications from Ithaca College. He lived in Massachusetts until 1975 when he moved to Texas. He married Catherine C. Carter, and they raised twin daughters Patchin and Suzanne in The Woodlands.
His career in Communications was varied. Beginning as an all-night Disc Jockey and doing voice-overs, writing for PR and technical manuals in many different fields. Chuck had a second career as a Public Information Officer and retired from the State as an Administrative Law Judge.
Chuck’s strongest love was for his wife and daughters, family and friends. The role he was most proud of was that of being a father. He had a passion for classical music and singing. He performed with the Houston Symphony and Woodlands Chorale. He loved to praise God and bring happiness to others. He shared his love for History by volunteering with the Academy of Lifelong Learning and he enjoyed his time spent fly fishing and following the Red Sox and Astros.
He was a beloved member of the Woodlands Christian Church for over 30 years where he held many positions and was an ongoing member of the Choir. He was also a member of the Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife Catherine Adams (Carter), his daughters Patchin Crawford and Suzanne Horne; son in laws Justin Crawford and Brandon Horne and his five grandchildren; Cara Crawford, Blake Crawford, Katherine Horne, Charles Horne and Juliette Horne, and his brother William Adams and family in Connecticut.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 15th, 2023, at 11 am. At The Woodlands Christian Church at 1202 N. Millbend Dr. The Woodlands TX 77380.
