Brenda Joyce Johnson

Brenda Joyce Johnson, 70 of Houston, Texas passed away at 7:51pm on June 6, 2017. Brenda was surrounded by family and loved ones at a family home in Conroe, Texas. She fought a long battle with health issues and a brain tumor. The time finally arrived for her to go home with the Lord and rest. Brenda was born September 3, 1946, on a sunny day in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Wallace Edwin Bolin and Dorothy Louise Dorsey Montgomery. Brenda grew up spending lots of time outdoors at Galveston beaches and various lake areas around the Houston area. As life went by she continued this tradition with her own family spending time around the water making unforgettable memories. As her health was failing her heart was breaking that she was not able to have her independence to get up and go outdoors to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Brenda enjoyed attending church as often as her health would allow at First Baptist Church of Willis with her husband Donald R. Johnson. Brenda worked hard waitressing for twenty years to provide for her three daughters. She instilled in them that family always comes first, to always be there for each other, and to work hard for what you want in life. Brenda Joyce Johnson is survived by loving husband Donald Ray Johnson and three daughters, Laura Hansen, son-in-law Michael Hansen, Sharon Steward, and Karen Bell and son-in-law Mark Bell. She was blessed with grandchildren: Kelly Hansen, Kristen Jimenez & Rene Jimenez, Nathan Steward, and Jauna Pike. Also great grandchildren: Julian, Aunna, & Camrynn Jimenez, and Landyn Pike. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. Brenda was proceeded in death by her son Kenneth Wayne Jones Jr., mother Dorothy Montgomery, father Wallace Bolin, bothers; Charles Bolin, Jarold Bolin, Roger Bolin, and sisters, Dottie Bolin and Nancy Foster. Brenda requested a small grave side funeral service with family and loved ones. The family wishes to thank all of those who were there and helped care for her during her illness. Arrangements will be provided by Cashner Funeral home/ Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303. Graveside service will be Friday, June 9th, 2017 at 10:00am.
