James Bradley "Brad" Shrieve, age 58, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 27, 2018. He was born on February 19, 1960 in Lancaster, Ohio to James and Wanda Shrieve. As a child, due to his father’s career, Brad moved around the country with his parents and two sisters, and the family finally settled in Conroe, Texas. Brad attended grade school at Booker T. Washington Elementary and graduated from Conroe High School in 1978.
It was in Conroe that he met the love of his life, Michele. Brad and Michele were married on April 11, 1981, and spent the next thirty-seven years building a beautiful life around their three children. Above everything, Brad loved his family and showed it by the way he lived his life, never letting his family leave without giving them a hug, a kiss on their cheek and telling each person that he loved them.
Brad was a pilot, ranch manager and served on the Board of Directors at Shrieve Chemical Company. As an avid outdoorsman, Brad cared for God’s creation through hunting and conservation across the globe. Of all that his hunting adventures provided, the memories created with friends and family was what Brad cherished most.
Brad is survived by his beloved wife Michele, and their three children Jennifer (Jake) Smith of Oshkosh, WI, Jessica Shrieve of Conroe, TX, and Jason (Holly) Shrieve of Conroe, TX; five grandchildren Knox Shrieve, Alexandra Otis, Tristen Smith, Dominik Smith, Martina Smith; parents James and Wanda Shrieve; and sister Tracy Shrieve. Brad was preceded in death by his sister, Debbi Shrieve.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Cashner Funeral Home.
