Billy was a man who loved life to the fullest.  He was a man who inspired many to better themselves.  My wife and I met Billy and Darlyn at Bill and Karen Nolen's. He reminded me of my steel mill buddies. He was full of stories and jokes of the good old days.  Darlyn was very pleasant and friendly. Her care of Billy was always evident. She shared his burden and never showed weakness in her love for him.  Over the course of several months My wife and I had visited with Billy and Darlyn many times. I know that Billy will be missed greatly by all who knew him. Darla and I pray for Darlyn and his family to be blessed with comfort , kindness and love in the days ahead. 

What a beautiful celebration of Billy's life. How precious your granddaughters are and their voices so beautiful. Billy  is an amazing man. You and Billy have shown all of us what it is to serve and love others. I'm praying for you and all the family.  His life continues to bless us as does yours. I love you.

Bill holds a special place in my heart, although I married into this family later in life.  Rod and his family lived in Saudi Arabia with Bill and his family for a period of time, and Darlyn and Rod are cousins; so their relationships were strong when I joined the family.  Bill was such a special person:  always looking for ways to help others and include them in conversations and laughter.  He never met a stranger, and I felt his warmth from the first time we met. He was a phenomenal storyteller, and I enjoyed learning and laughing about the history of the "stolen" car heater and so many other funny stories he shared with me  His devotion to be a good servant to his Lord dominated his life and we know he has been welcomed into his forever home with wide open arms.   Rod and I will miss Bill when we have get togethers again, but know that he is not gone from our lives--we will be together again! And Darlyn, we will have to start looking for that small boat!  Our love and prayers are with you.

If you knew Billy, you were extremely blessed.  He loved his family, his friends, his church and his Lord and Savior very deeply.  Throughout their marriage, he and Darlyn were always helping others in some form or fashion.  They truly have servant hearts.  Billy was in the hospital on their 40th anniversary.  When we asked him what was the secret to a long and happy marriage, Billy replied: "Even though something may be true, it doesn't necessarily need to be said.  This is profound advice that we can all use in our daily lives, no matter what the relationship might be.  Billy always used the "magic words", please and thank you.  He was always thankful and grateful for anything anyone did for him.  "Thank you" were the last words Billy spoke to us.  So we say to you Billy, "Thank you" for being the shining example of a Christian for all of us.  Your "never give up" attitude is an inspiration to us all.  We know you are walking, no running, through the streets of Heaven.  Rest in peace good and faithful servant!  We were blessed beyond measure to share life's journey with you.

That was so nice thinking of Billy somersaulting and being free from the confines of his chair.  He told me not too long ago that he wished he could ride bikes with me.  Will miss his jokes and Arabic lessons. We will be watching the services on utube.  We love you and we will always miss Billy.

The first time we met Billy and Darlyn, they  had  stopped by our house to give us a gift to welcome us moving into the Ward. That was them; always giving. Our friendship grew from that first meeting.  We loved listening to Billy's stories about how he and Darlyn met, as well as all the other stories he would tell.  He was quite the story teller...His wit was untouchable! He was so funny. Billy never thought of himself as being disabled. He always had a quick easy way with words that made you feel comfortable. We miss Billy tremendously, but, we know we will see him again. Goodbye (for now) dear Friend, we love you.  Freddie and Deerman 

Billy Moore was a wise, gentle soul who could, by saying nothing, inspire you to be a better person.  Although we never knew Billy without his wheelchair, he never let that define him.  He and his precious wife, Darlyn, traveled and attended many of our family Thanksgiving celebrations and more notably, our special needs daughter’s milestone lifetime events such as her high school graduation and her 30th birthday.  He referred to her as his “little girlfriend” much to her delight.  He was always full of joy and and inspirational to be around.  He always made sure to compliment the cook and raved about my homemade chicken and dumplings.  There has not and nor will be a time that I make them and not think of him.  My husband will fondly remember Billy as the guy with the jokes.  We are so blessed to have had Billy in our lives and rejoice in the fact he is with Jesus with his body fully restored.  His chains are broken and he is free!  God welcomed this good and faithful servant with open arms!  Darlyn, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your precious family.  

Billy was an amazing man. He always had a smile on his face and a kind word or funny joke to share. 
He loved to learn and read and studied voraciously. 
He had a vast number of subjects that interested him. But I especially remember that he loved cars, he loved Church history, but most of all, he loved his Savior. He is a man of great faith and confidence in His Redeemer. 
I can’t wait to kiss your sweet cheek in heaven, Billy! I miss you, my good friend!
