Betty Anne Surrey Willingham was born April 8, 1930 in Houston, Texas and passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the age of 83. The world lost a real prayer warrior. Betty passed away Thursday around noon after her son, Andy read to her Isaiah 53, one of her favorite chapters in the Bible. She fell asleep hearing those scriptures and awoke in Paradise. Betty was very intelligent and an extremely good conversationalist. She would have been a great teacher. Betty married young and became a wife and mother. She had to work briefly while her husband, Moses, was in the service so her children could have a good home. Betty chose to be a mother, that is the greater job in the world. She has a great laugh, I say this because I know she is laughing in Heaven. We do leave footprints on this earth. Betty has left some precious ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Arwid and Thelma Olvita Bracewell Surrey, by her husband, Moses Marvin Willingham, by her grandchild, Yvette Willingham, and her brother, Richard Surrey. She is survived by her daughters; Pauline Fabbri and her husband Ore and Twana Kitzman and her husband Danny, by her sons; Timmy Willingham, Alan Willingham and his wife Laura, Andy Willingham and his wife Maragaret, and T.J. Willingham and his wife Rikki, by her sister, Sue Surrey Meder and her husband Joel, by her brothers; Edward Surrey and his wife Bertia, Tommy Surrey, and Jimmy Surrey and his wife Barbara, and her sister in law, Jo Ann Surrey. Betty has 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Visitation will be at Cashner Funeral Home on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 3-6pm. Funeral Service will be Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11am at the Ark Church in Conroe, Texas with Pastor Alan Clayton as minister.
