Funeral services for Betty Vern Brinkley Roy of The Woodlands, Texas will be held at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 12 at Cashner Funeral Home. Mrs. Roy was born August 29, 1930, in Conroe, Texas and passed away July 8th in The Woodlands, Texas. Betty is survived by two loving daughters, Debbie Roy Kabzinski of Spring and Elizabeth Roy Bariffi and husband Joe of Bakersfield, California. She is treasured by her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Melody Kabzinski Fetter and AbbyGayle Rose Fetter of Houston, Stanley Willis Kabzinski, wife Suzanne and Cooper James Kabzinski of Spring, Jaclyn Brianna Bariffi and Brenna Jean Bariffi of Bakersfield. She is also survived by a sister, Joyce Marie Ziegler of Starkville, Mississippi and brother Ross Goss and wife, Shirley Sue of Orange, Texas. She is also survived by a host of other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Willis Glenn Roy, her mother, Edith Eliza Linscombe Brinkley Goss, her father, Cecil Calvin Brinkley, stepfather, Leonard Todd Goss and two sisters Martha Ann Brinkley Lee and Opal Violet Goss Coble.
