Betty Clark Campbell, born November 1, 1950, passed away peacefully in her home in The Woodlands surrounded by family on April 21, 2018, following a long struggle with ovarian cancer. Born in Newport News, Virginia to Raleigh W. Clark and Bessie Wood Clark, Betty is survived by her William & Mary college sweetheart and husband of 45 years, Bob Campbell, and their beloved daughters, Katie Findley of The Woodlands and Jennifer Cunningham of Houston, their son-in-law, James Cunningham, and their granddaughters, Madeline Findley (ten), Emma Claire Cunningham (three) and Avery Cunningham (one). Betty is also survived by her niece, Susie Walling. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Kitty Walling.
Betty was a dedicated teacher, an accomplished artist, a caring social worker, and a loving mother and grandmother, with a large circle of dear friends. Her bright and caring spirit and her beautiful smile will be fully remembered and greatly missed. A celebration of life will take place on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. at Christ Church United Methodist, 6363 Research Forest Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77381. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in her name may be sent to MD Anderson Cancer Center or the Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands.
