Bessie Louise McAfee

Bessie Louise McAfee Age 97 was called to heaven on November 15, 2013. Born on June 26, 1916, to Roscoe and Helen Pearl Horn in Elizabethtown Kentucky. The family relocated to Texas around 1920. In 1935 she married Robert “Bob” McAfee and for many years they called White Settlement, Texas their home. There they raised two children, Jimmie Wayne and Suzanne. Although she only had two children, they opened their hearts and doors to many children out of great love and kindness, to include Ron and Don Horn and Ike Love among many others, who she loved as her own. In 1978 she moved to Montgomery County, where she lived until her passing. Bessie was a kind soul who loved to be with her family. She liked to travel and was always up for an adventure. Her love and kindness extended out to anyone in need. She will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Bob and her son Jimmie. Bessie is survived by her daughter Suzanne Davis. Grand children: Shane Albritton and Shana Mendez of Montgomery Texas, Robin McAfee and Jason Love. She also leaves behind many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many others that consider her grannie, all of who know what it was like to be loved by a great woman

Visitation will be 5:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday at Metcalf Funeral Directors. A reception will be held Wednesday 11:30am to 1:30pm at Metcalf Funeral Directors with the funeral beginning at 2:00pm in the chapel. The interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Humble, Texas.
