Walter Fred Reid

Born in Guilford County, NC, he was the son of the late Gurney Thomas Reid and Pauline Christopher Reid.

Walter worked as a saw operator at Ideal Frame Company in Taylorsville, NC.

In addition to his parents, Walter is preceded in death by brother in-laws, John McDaniels and Jerry Chatham.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 13 years, Betty Ruth Munday Reid of the home; son, Brooklyn Medley of Greensboro; daughters, Adrienne Hall of Wilkesboro, Amanda Campbell and husband, Adam of Conover; brother, Charles Reid and wife, Linda of Greensboro; sisters, Faye McDaniels of Louisiana, Belva R. Allred and husband, Larry of Greensboro, Brenda Chatham of Taylorsville, Dorothy Burgess and husband, Conley of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Isaiah, Gracie, Lucas, Jonathan and Daisy Hall and Angie Medley; and dear friends Dino Sanchez and wife, Kathy of Taylorsville.

A Memorial service will be held at Drum Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Schudde officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.
