Steven was a proud father to his two beautiful children, Leeland and Kaylynn Clark. They were his absolute world and light of his life and greatest accomplishment. No matter his circumstances, they were always the first thing on his mind and biggest joy in his heart.
Steven was always the center of attention, yet proud and humble. He was a force to be reckoned with and loved God, his family and friends fiercely. Steven always strived to inspire hope in those around him and was forever willing to lend a helping hand and encouraged them to be the best versions of themselves. He was best friend to many and the favorite of most. Whether it was Steven’s magnetic personality doing anything to make you laugh, dancing the night away, or any of his multitude of crazy antics, he always lit up the room. Further, Steven was very creative and a skilled artist and carpenter with a keen eye and amazing work ethic.
He is survived by the hearts of the family who grieves him deeply: his children, Leeland and Kaylynn; mother, Marolyn Clark with Dale Abbott; Grandfather Herbert Clark; siblings - Katy Dalton, Christopher Clark, Chanel Thompson, Justin Clark, Chelsea Clark with Daniel Nolen and Chadwhic Owensby; Nieces & Nephews – Cheyenne Luna, Cierra Clark, Elijah Cullum, Ariel Otero-Bunker, Mateo Wilson, Paisley Nolen, Elijah and Ezekiel Owensby; as well as a great number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to his amazing father, Steven Clark, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Wade Owensby, Juanita Farmer and Mona Clark along with an aunt, uncles and cousins.
Celebration of life and fundraiser for his children will be held Sunday, June 12 at the Hickory VFW Post 1957, 1615 12th St Drive NW Hickory. Receiving starts 2pm with spiritual message starting after 2:30pm.
Condolences may be sent to the Clark family at www.drumfh-conover.com.
