Shelby Lail Spencer

Shelby Lail Spencer, age 74, of Conover, NC, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Brian Center East in Hickory, NC. Born March 20, 1944 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late William Frank McCrary, Sr. and Bertha Carver McCrary.

In addition to her parents, Shelby was preceded in death by sons, Terry, Jimmy, and Kenny Lail; daughter, Cathy Jean Lail; 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory are son, Rick Lail and wife, Donna; daughters, Tammy Lail, Diane L. Peterson and husband, Darren; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 3, 2018, at Drum Funeral Home Chapel in Conover with Pastor Darren Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Conover City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. at Drum Funeral Home Chapel in Conover.
