Samuel "Clifford" Sherrill

Samuel Clifford Sherrill, age 93, of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. Clifford was born on Sunday, December 21,1930 in Catawba County to the late Charlie and Lillie Augusta Sherrill.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Kirksey Sherrill; his daughter, Brenda Wise; sisters, Lucy Sigmon and Verona Edwards; brother, Fred N. Sherrill.

Left to cherish his memory is son, Samuel Sherrill and wife,Elizabeth; daughter, Donna Thompson and husband Larry; grandchildren, Jason Sherrill, Samantha Sherrill Keller and husband Matt, Christy Thompson Sharpe and husband David, Brandi Wise Houston and husband Jeremy and Heather Thompson and 12 great grandchildren.

Clifford was a veteran of the US Army

He loved farming.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 2:00pm at Mathis Chapel Baptist Cemetery, 1786 Mathis Church Road, Catawba, NC, with Charles Buff officiating. The family will greet friends following the graveside service.
