Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Joseph K. Wood and Geraldine M. Wood; brother Frank K. Wood and son David C. Smith.
She is survived by the love of her life of 70 years, Melvin C. "Jack"Smith; son, Donald J. Smith; daughters, Carol M. Houlter (Wayne), Jo Ann Hughes; granddaughters, Leigh E. Liebert and Brooke A. Gates; six great grandchildren, sister-in-law Patricia Wood and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, Virginia on Wednesday, April 19.
Funeral Services will be at First Lutheran Church, 1301 Colley Avenue, Norfolk, Virgina on Thursday, April 20,2023 at 2:00pm.
Internment will take place graveside at St. John's Lutheran Church, Conover, NC on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 1:00.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to First Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
