Minnie Lou Ellen Shook

Minnie Lou Ellen Shook, 84, of Catawba, died Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Greens at Lincolnton. She was born August 2, 1939 to Henry Oscar Lee and Laura Estelle Houston Lee. She was a Member of Pisgah Methodist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil James Shook who passed away March 15, 1989. She is survived by two daughters, Cindy Briles, and Stephanie Hodges and her husband Keith, all of Catawba; grandson, Jacob London and his wife Vicky of Catawba and step granddaughter Amanda Golden and her husband James of Pendleton, SC; great grandson Aidan London and expectant great granddaughter “Green Peanut” London, step great grandson Zandar Green, and several nieces and nephews.

The family is receiving friends on Sunday, April 28, at Pisgah Methodist Church in Catawba from 2:30 to 3:30 with a memorial service to follow. In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to Pisgah Methodist Church, 4950 Little Mountain Road, Catawba, NC 28609.
