Merlin “Mickey” Theodore Bowman passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born February 28, 1945,

he was the son of the late Hubert Theodore “Toot” Bowman and Mary Ellen Miller Sigmon.

In addition to his parents, Merlin was preceded in death by his brother Terry Sigmon.

Those left to cherish his memory is a son, Mark Ashley Bowman and wife Tara Marie Bowman of Hickory; brother Randy Sigmon of Conover;

sister Debbie Sigmon Stroman and husband, Randall Stroman of Hickory; grandchild Adam Keenan Bowman.

Merlin loved his family and his church friends at Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Bethlehem UMC Fellowship Hall in Claremont

with Rev. Dennis Marshall officiating.

Gathering of friends will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2016.

In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to Bethlehem UMC, P.O. Box 233, Claremont, NC 28610.
