Johnny Wayne Benfield
September 15, 1959 – October 22, 2023
IN THE CARE OF
Johnny Wayne Benfield, age 64, of Claremont, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Johnny was born on Tuesday, September 15, 1959 to Joan Self Benfield and the late Lawson Andrew Benfield.
In addition to his father, Johnny was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Shoe.
Johnny was a loving parent and he was the best dad ever. He enjoyed working on cars and he was also an avid collector.
Those left to cherish Johnny’s memory are his daughter, Jennifer Long (Joe); brothers, Terry Benfield, Rodney Benfield; sister, Janice Stout; grandchild, Katelyn Rhyne; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend, Otis Morrison.
A Celebration of Life service for Johnny will be held at 4pm on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Covenant Baptist Church, 1031 Rock Barn Rd. NE, Conover, NC 28601.
The Benfield family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Conover, NC.
