John William Sigmon Sr.

Born April 12, 1944 in Catawba County, John was the son of the late Frank B. Sigmon and Rebecca McAllister Sigmon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Betty Murphy Sigmon; son, Aaron Sigmon; brothers, Robert and Clyde Sigmon; sisters, Margaret Cloninger, Evelyn Hoyle and Rachel Parlier.

He is survived by his son, “Jody” John Sigmon Jr.; Brothers, Jerry Sigmon and wife Harlene, and James Sigmon and wife Thelma; sister-in-law, Thelma Sigmon and Patsy York; his faithful companions, his dogs Faith and Scooter; and number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Drum Funeral Home with Reverend David Crump officiating. Burial to follow at Conover City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at Drum Funeral Home Conover, NC.
