James graduated from App State and from CVCC in the nursing program. He was a RN for over 30 years at Catawba Valley Medical Center where he received Care Employee of the Year. He was a gentle and kind soul; his hobbies were historical building of military modeling kits.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Debra Lynn Dellinger Bowman; brother, Daniel Bowman and wife Christine; three beloved pets Elin, Radi, and Bogey; and a number of extended family and friends.
The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 3:15 PM prior to the service.
A celebration of life service will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 3:30 pm at Catawba Baptist Church with Pastor Derek Jones officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carolina Caring at 3975 Robinson Road and or to the Catawba Baptist Church at 102 1st St SW Catawba NC 28609.
The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Drum Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Conover, NC.
