In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Earlene Harris Byrd; daughters, Teresa Ann Byrd and Anita Louise Byrd; grandson, Bradley Kent Donnelly; brothers, Odell, Jack, Russell, Walter, Quincy, Wayne, and Marvin Byrd; sisters, Evaline Jolly, Jennie Brown, and Peggy Tucker.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Donna (Robert) Donnelly; grandchildren, Vanessa Lynn Donnelly, Christopher (Kathy) Butler; great granddaughter, Madelyn Paige Butler;
A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 15th at Catawba Memorial Park with Reverend Heather Langan officiating and Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for memorials to be made in Harold’s memory to the scholarship for his grandson Bradley Kent Donnelly. The Bradley Kent Donnelly Scholarship Fund, Catawba Valley Community College, 2550 HWY 70 SE Hickory NC 28602.
