Gary Lee Crawford

Gary Lee Crawford of Conover passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Biloxi, MS, Saturday, July 21, 1956, to the late Robert E. Lee Crawford and Wanda Faye Crawford.

Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son who truly cared for his family. He enjoyed golfing and was known as a handy man that was a great carpenter and a fixer-upper. His family stated that beyond everything else he loved and cherished his family.

Gary was retired from Carpenter Company, Conover, NC

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Benjamin Franklin Crawford and sister, Donna Benge.

Left to honor his memory is wife of 40 years, Paula Crawford; mother, Wanda Faye Crawford; sons, Clay Lawhon, Lee (Kristin) Crawford, David (Angie) Lesser, Ben (Jennifer) Crawford; daughter Rachel Jones; brothers, Tracy Wayne (Loretta) Crawford, Darrel Crawford, Dale (Rhonda) Crawford; sister, Darlene Beaugez. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

His family is honoring his wishes by having a simple family burial at Eastview Cemetery at a future date.
