In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by daughter, Candi Hernandez; brother, Billy Hedrick; sisters, Helen Honeycutt, Jan Sullivan, Tina Whiteman, Jenny Sigmon; and grandson, Carlos Hernandez.
Dennis was a loving father and he loved his girls the most of all. Spending time with his family always made him smile. Dennis worked at Sherrill Furniture and retired after 35 plus years. He took great pride in the furniture he made at his job. Dennis enjoyed antiques, hot rods, riding motorcycles, and he loved all music, especially gospel music.
Those left to cherish Dennis’s memory are his daughters, Angie McGhee (Scott), Nichole Newton (Brian); brothers, Jimmy Hedrick, Roger Hedrick; sister Shelby Kaczor; grandchildren, Amber Hedrick, Mariana Hernandez, and Mason Johnson.
A Funeral Service for Dennis will be held at 6pm on Thursday, February 22 at Drum Funeral Home Chapel, 509 1st Ave South, Conover. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5pm to 5:45pm.
