David Bud Leonard Teague Sr.

Born December 6, 1926 in Iredell County, Bud was the son of the late Ralph and Edna Sigmon Teague. He was the last charter member living of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Conover which was established in 1943. Bud was the manager for a machine company, and later he worked for Griffith’s Security. He also served in the Navy. Bud lived Christ, gospel music, and making movies of his family. Always, he was determined to care for and protect them. We will all miss “Pa-Paw Bud.”

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Teague Jr.; brother, Ralph Teague; and sisters, Mildred Davidson, Genola Spencer, Nadine Rose, and Lorine Coley.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Opal Wesson Teague of the home; sons, Barry Teague of Conover and Marty Teague of Conover; sister, Maxine Morrison; 6 granddaughters, 4 great grandsons, and 4 great granddaughters.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2014 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover. Pastor Brian Correll will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
