Born April 2, 1947, to Clifford Randolph Young and Lena Rose Young, Clifford grew up in Hildebran, N.C.
He was a graduate of Hildebran high school. He proudly served his country as an Air Force Sergeant and was station in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He was employed by the United States Postal service for 43 years before retirement.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Clifford Randolph Young, Mother, Lena Rose Young; Aunt, Alma Abee; Uncle, Howard Young and numerous cousins.
Those left to Cherish his memory include his loving Wife of 55 years Janice Miller Young; Son, Tim Young and wife, Jeanette, of Hickory; Daughter, Angie Murphy, of Catawba; Grandson, Christopher Young and wife, Adrienne; Granddaughter, Morgan Leatherman and husband, Noah; Grandson, Leland Young; Grandson, Julian Young; Step Grandson, Nathan Townsend; Aunt, Beatrice Lingerfelt; Uncle, David Young; and numerous cousins. His Fur babies brought him comfort and joy over the year Callie, Luner, Tiger, Sweet pea, tinker bell, and Daisy May.
A Funeral Service for Clifford will be held at 4pm on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Hildebran, 8831 Old NC Hwy 10, Hildebran, NC 28637 with Pastor Ron Arndt and Pastor Cory Smith officiating with military honors following. Family will receive prior to the service at First Baptist Church of Hildebran from 3pm-3:45pm.
