Carl Edward Lail

Carl was born on Friday, July 28,1933 to the late Ransom M. Lail and Londa L. Lail.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by wife, Willadean L. Lail; daughter, Vickie Lail Misenheimer; brothers, Junior Lail, Willard Lail, Everett Lail; sisters, Ruby Hedrick, Joann Bolick, Margie Sigmon, Katherine Wilson.

Carl was a beloved member of his family. He was a loving son, husband, father, and brother. Carl worked as a brick mason. He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing on the church softball team. Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He liked to share his crops from his garden with his family, friends, and neighbors.

Those left to cherish Carl’s memory are sons, Stephen D. Lail (Alice), Tim A. Lail (Brenda); daughter, Penny Lail; grandchildren, Caroline Harvey, Randall Lail, Brandi Bryant, Jason Lail, Marcus Beard, Adam Presnell, Josh Presnell, Jordan Presnell; 12 great grandchildren,; and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1pm to 1:45pm at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 4420 County Home Rd, Conover, NC 28613.

A Funeral Service for Carl will be held at 2pm on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church with Reverend Dr. Deborah L. Frye officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 4420 County Home Rd, Conover, NC 28613.
