Mathew Carl Farmer

Mathew was born in Richmond on January 5, 1984, to Daniel and Teresa Hodson Farmer; He attended Connersville High School and later earned his GED. Mathew was employed in construction and landscaping. He enjoyed drawing, landscaping, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Mathew is survived by a brother: Devon Farmer of Greenwood, IN; a sister: Jenny McCarrell and husband, Aaron of Connersville; maternal grandmother: Velda Lampman and husband, John of Connersville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Mathew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Paul and Mildred Farmer, and his maternal grandfather, Ronald Hodson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home in Connersville with Rev. Mal Gibson of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, September 17, 2017, from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. where memorial contributions may be made to the Intensive Jail Treatment Program in care of Fayette County Community Corrections.
